"Now through July 16th you can watch Diplo and Brazilian fimmaker Leandro HBL’s documentary Favela on Blast for free online. The film, which lovingly portrays the Brazilian subculture of Funk Carioca, is so full of fresh beats that we’re already waiting for the soundtrack. Founded in the slums, or favelas, of Rio de Janeiro, it covers the cross pollination of Miami bass funk with traditional and contemporary Brazilian music, and the people who do it.
