Jamaica - Short and Entertaining

With so many bands out there to listen to and discover, many are judged after the first listen, and, therefore prematurely classed as being sucky. This was the case for Jamaica. I vaguely remember listening to them, not liking them, and forgetting about them. Oh how wrong I was. "Short and entertaining" blows me away, and I now greatly regret not having checked them out at this year's Melt festival.

Es wird bunt! Es wird heiß! Es wird ausschweifend! Es riecht nach Orgie!

Das Starker Verkehr DJ-Team steht wie gewohnt für einen kompakten Hybrid aus Dub/Step, Hip Hop Classics, fluxigen Breakbeats & volatil bouncendem Baile Funk, aufgemischt mit einer griffigen Synthese aus flächendeckendem TechHouse und der sehnigen Sperrigkeit von Grime.

Eröffnet wird der heutige Abend von den RHYTHM IS-Residents Antonio Sabini, Kurtis Blowjob und XOXO. Bewaffnet mit glitzernder Diskokugel, Limbostange, Rasseln und Hawaiihemden, sowie mit einem balearisch-funkigen Set aus 80er, Italo-Disco und tropisch-obskuren Klängen weit entfernter Regionen im Gepäck, huldigen sie dem Sonnengott und heizen die Hütte schon mal vor.
